Item 2: HELPFUL HINTS

The next part of my portfolio is the website I created for my second Web Development Lab: Helpful Hints.

This is a website primarily designed to be a resource or learning tool for those beginning to look at HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I wanted the website to feel very simple, and focused on the technology that would be being used. To achieve this, I chose a grey palette, with hints of white and black, and hints of other colours.

The font I chose to use was Pacifica Condensed, because it looks very clean and simple, but also easy to read and understand.

On my home page, I included three photos of computers that were in high-definition, and I used them because I thought they looked amazing, but also because they were relevant to the topics on the website itself.

The navigation bar is easy to use, with a home page, an "about" page, and the "Helpful Sites" page. I added buttons to three separate pages, so I was able to keep the sites for the three languages seperate. I used graphic images of the three to add some colour, but also to make them pop, and stand out.

I kept the actual pages of websites very simple, with an image of the website to go with a small description of it, what I found helpful about them, and if the information was easy to find or not.

Overall, I really love this website I created, because its modern and subtle, yet very directed into the right areas.
