The first part of my portfolio is the website I created for practice: Dunedin Life Hacks

This was a website about life in Dunedin, and the aspects I chose to focus on were sport and the landscape around the city.
Because
I wanted the website to feel modern, the font I chose to use(Pacifica
Condensed) needed to have modern lines, and be very clean. Also, in
relation to Dunedin/Otago sport, I chose to use a light gold/caramel colour, combined with dark blue stripes to represent the colours of Otago.
The
black and white image of the Dunedin Railway Station also brings into
account the beautiful architecture, as shown in other photos like the
one of Larnachs Castle.
Overall, I really love the feel of the website - its classy and modern, yet sporty and fun, and is a good advertisement of the city and its surrounding area/history.
